Reading a poem, The Unmarried Woman At Mass by Federico Garcia Lorca.

When I cant sleep and tumblr goes to bed leaving me abandoned and bored I play blinded eeny, meeny, miny, moe with one of the shelves on my bookcase full of good books Ive already read.

Tonight, it landed on Federico Garcia Lorca! This book is great because it has the english translation right next to the spanish version…SO I CAN PRACTICE MI ESPANOL!

I’m off to go read some great violent, sexy, honest, poetry full of imagery from one of my favorite poets EVAR.

Fun Facts:  - Lorca was passionately involved in a potentially sexual relationship with Salvador Dali. (dude, if you’ve read from Lorca’s the painter poems you totally know it was sexual..and HOT)

- My family in Spain has handwritten letters by Lorca to the local newspaper.

- He was murdered for his liberal and forward thinking beliefs.

- His poetry turns me on.
